Sundays w/ the RANGERS Sunday School is our primary vehicle for teaching Biblical truth. During the traditional school year we provide age-graded instruction for children age 3 through 6th grade. It is our desire to accomplish this instruction in classrooms of fewer than 20 students. Most age groups are divided into two sections to accomplish a small student-teacher ratio. The curriculum is intentionally chosen to explore the whole of the Bible, data and elementary theological concepts. The Summer months we go "OUTBACK" for kids First through Fourth Grade. The OUTBACK experience allows our kids to enjoy a large group opening session full of music, skits and fun. Once the lesson is taught, kids are teamed in small groups for application. The Koala Kids (ages 3 through rising Kindergarten) enjoy their OUTBACK time inside in a rotation of Activities, Craft and Bible lesson. Children's Worship is provided for children ages three through third grade. Worship time for the Threes, Fours and Fives is for the entire worship hour, both 8:30 and 11:00 o'clock hours. First through Third Graders are released from the main worship service at a designated time each service (approximate half-way through). This worship time is age-graded and varies in scope. We desire to teach kids what it means to worship through music and Biblical instruction.
Where Do I Go For Sunday School? We utilize the second & third floors of the Children's building. Children ages 3 through 2nd grade are on the second floor; children 3rd - 6th grades are on the third floor). Below is a typical schedule for Sunday morning and a listing of classrooms: 9:30-9:45 Transition Time (C221) (time for early arrivers, ages 4 - 2rd grade, especially those coming out of the 8:30 worship service) 9:45-10:00 Opening Assembly (C221) (an opening assembly of praise songs) 10:00-10:45 In Classrooms (see classroom listing that follows) 10:45-11:10 Transition Time (C221) (time for late pick-ups, ages 4 - kindergarten, and 11:00 worship service) NOTE: Three year olds do not attend Transition Time; they remain in C222 for the entire period. Third - Sixth Grades report directly to classroom. Look for your children on the second & third floors of the Children's building. The Threes, Fours and Fives enjoy the full hour during adult worship. The Threes are in Room C222, the Fours/Fives in Room C221. The First through Third Graders follow a slightly different schedule. They begin the worship hour by attending the opening portion of the adult worship service with their families. This enables them to worship and , at the same time, begin the learning process with respect to what worship means. At the designated time they are dismissed for an upbeat time of continued worship. 8:30 and 11:00 in Room C316. List of Children's Worship Rooms Threes Room C222 Fours/Fives Room C221/C223 1st-3rd Grades Room C316 FOR FURTHER INFORMATION: 8:30 Service - If your pre-school child is attending the 8:30 Children's Worship service, they will be escorted to the Transition Room for Assembly prior to Sunday School. Once the Assembly is completed their Sunday School teacher leads them to their room for the lesson. This procedure places the child under constant supervision throughout the time spanning the early worship and adult Sunday School hour. You may place your pre-schooler in Children Worship and be assured they will make their way to the proper Sunday School class from which you may pick them up at the end of the Sunday School hour. Likewise, your First - Third Grader will be transitioned from Children's Worship into their Sunday School class. 11:00 Service - If your pre-schooler (through kindergarten) has attended Sunday School there is no need for you to pick them up and then place them in Children's Worship. Their teacher will automatically take them to the Transition Room (for Children's Worship) if you have not picked them up at the end of Sunday School. You may pick up your child from the appropriate Children's Worship Room at the end of the adult worship hour. Your First - Third Grader must be picked up from Sunday School (or given permission to meet you at a designated place) for the start of the worship hour. Again, once released from adult worship, they will be taken to the appropriate worship room where you may pick them up at the end of the adult worship hour.
