Worship at Covenant

Come with an eye for God's glory. Leave with an eye for God's people...

Our desire at Covenant Presbyterian Church is to be God-focused. We love the Word of God and want His truth to permeate every part of our worship. We are excited about the ministry that God has called us to. Our goal is to reflect the biblical imperative that calls “every tribe, tongue and nation” (Revelation 5:9) to worship in “Spirit and in Truth.” (John 4:23)   We are committed to nurturing the body of believers at Covenant Presbyterian Church to go hard after God. We delight to gather with people who are hungry to meet God in a corporate setting. We desire to have a God-exalting vision in our worship, and rejoice to see the amazing variety of expressions with which God has blessed His church, both in the past and in the present. Our vision is demonstrated and experienced in blended worship by weaving elements in a way that enables those that God leads to Covenant to unite in worship. We enter worship at Covenant with an eye for God’s glory. This means we do not come with hands full, “for God cannot be served by human hands” (Acts 17:25) but we come seeking and hungry “as a deer pants for cooling streams, so my soul pants for Thee, O God,” (Psalm 42:1) looking for God at every point and intersection of a worship service. As leaders our goal is to show, demonstrate and illustrate to people the glory of God and to ignite in them a burning delight in God. (God’s Passion for His Glory, Piper/Edwards, p. 35) At Covenant we leave with an eye for God’s people. This is fellowship that is fueled by our worship where men and women are encouraged by each other and care and support for the body of Christ is ignited.
