Missions
Give to Missions
Missions and ministry depend on the generosity of God’s people. Covenant supports our ministry partners both through our normal tithes and offerings and through Faith Promise Giving.
Faith Promise Giving refers to giving to global and local missions over and above our regular giving to the church. It is called faith promise because it describes extra money that we promise to give to the LORD’s work – either systematically, sacrificially, or supernaturally – while trusting him to meet all our needs. A New Testament example of extra, voluntary, giving would be the saints throughout Macedonia giving according to and beyond their means to assist Christians in Jerusalem suffering persecution induced poverty (2 Corinthians 8:1-5).
Faith Promise is used in several important ways. It is a primary way we support global and local missionaries and ministries. Our ministry partners are supported through a combination of Covenant’s general fund giving and through Faith Promise Giving (which means if you give regularly to the church, you are already supporting missions!).
Faith Promise is also used for the following:
Funding one-time needs received from both global and local missions partners
Funding special projects with our global and local missions partners
Sending Covenant members and staff on short-term mission trips
Blessing our local ministries with meals and events at Covenant’s facilities
Hosting outreach events
Supporting church plants
You may give to Faith Promise through all the normal ways - during the offertory, online, or through the mail.
