Covenant partners with local ministries in the Birmingham area which seek to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ and minister in his name in a variety of ways, such as addiction recovery, counseling, Christian education, church planting, leadership development, mentoring, discipling high school students, ministry to international students, medical care, orphan care, crisis pregnancy centers and pro-life ministries, adult education and job training, food and resource distribution, and other mercy ministries.

Covenant helps fund all RUF ministries in the state of Alabama, as well as RUF staff members who grew up at Covenant. 

We are committed to supporting church plants which take the gospel to new areas, especially through Mission to North America, the PCA’s church planting arm.

We support missionaries in more than 20 countries around the world, who serve in church planting, discipleship, leadership training, theological education, Christian education for children and youth, shelters for abused women and children, economic development, medical ministries, missionary care, and Bible translation. 

Each year Covenant seeks to offer numerous opportunities, both stateside and overseas, to get to know our mission partners and see how Christ is working around the world through participation in short-term missions projects and trips. 

Covenant holds an annual Missions Festival highlighting the work and service of our ministry partners. As a congregation, we come together to learn from, fellowship with, and pray for those we are sending out and to hear how Christ is building his church around the world.
