Speakers:
June 3 Emilie Alonso Sanders | Emilie grew up at Covenant and was involved in children's and youth programs, Created for a Purpose, and choir. She recently completed her masters in fine arts from Mississippi College. Her final project was a series of paintings inspired by Hannah Hurnard’s Book, Hinds Feet in High Places. Emilie will be sharing her artwork and how the Lord has used his story to shape her life and faith. She and her husband Isaac live in Jackson, MS.
June 10 Melissa Powell | Melissa is married to our Executive Pastor Chris Powell and they have two children, Craig and Caroline. She is a nutritionist and has taught on the college level for a number of years. Melissa’s story includes parents who died when she was in her twenties, infertility, and breast cancer. The Lord has been near through these trials. Melissa has seen the goodness of the Lord and the redemption that faith in Christ offers to those who believe.
June 17 Ruth Moore | Ruth has three adult sons who are married with children and all are part of our Covenant family. Ruth joined Covenant when Bill Hay was the senior pastor during a difficult time in her life. She spent some time in sister PCA churches for several years and rejoined in 2022. She has been a stay-at-home mother, a librarian in the Mountain Brook schools, and a devoted grandmother. The Lord has been her rock through challenges that have come through a number of different stories. Her testimony of his faithfulness will encourage you to persevere through life’s storms.
